I once got down on my belly near a wheat field to take a shot of a red poppy against blue skies. Was so deeply concentrated on getting the right angle and sharpness that I did not hear the farmer with his traktor comming up the small path behind me. He thought I was injured when he saw me lying there on the ground (didn't notice the camera I was holding in his panic). So he jumped down from the traktor right beside me to help.
All in all we both got quite a shock that day
But still I sometimes forget about my surroundings when photo-shooting
